INTERNATIONAL NEWS Download (free) IoR copper guide for refrigerant pipework T he Institute of Refrigeration (IoR) service engineers’ section has produced a guide to copper pipework support and routing, which is now available for free download. This bulletin provides guidance on pipework support methods for copper pipework that is designed to contain refrigerant in air conditioning, heat pump, or refrigeration applications. Before any components are fitted into a system, it is important that the installer understands where the components should be fitted within the system, the correct methods to be used to fit them, and the correct orientation for satisfactory operation, as this will all influence the routing and support of piping. This two-page guide, entitled ‘Copper pipework support and routing’ was uploaded in January 2017 as part of the international association’s Good Practice Guide. You can download a copy of this document at www.ior.org.uk. CLA Download the IoR’s copper guide now for free. Advertorial Three new outlets for In the past 12 months, TecsaReco has opened three new express outlets: in Midrand, Pretoria East, and Upington. The idea behind these ‘express’ outlets is to have the emergency spares needed for urgent repairs as close to its customers as possible. With traffic becoming more of an issue in the larger cities such as Midrand and Pretoria East, these outlets enable technicians to spend less time behind the wheel of their bakkie and more time on repairs. Upington is an area long overdue for better support. All the fast-moving commercial refrigeration lines, as well as TecsaReco’s hugely successful TCL brand of air conditioning, are carried in each of the new branches. Larger engineered products can be ordered from these outlets for des- patch from the company’s larger branches. The newly opened Upington branch. This is just another example of how TecsaReco provides solutions. Talk to us Upington 9 Vooruit Street, Industrial Area, Upington Tel: +27 (0) 54 495 0215 Pretoria East Block C, W.P.R.
