INCORPORATING COLD CHAIN
Baltimore Aircoil Company SA exhibited sustainable
evaporative cooling equipment. “We have the
hybrid and adiabatic coolers officially launching in
the country,” says Chris Willis (sales and marketing
director), pictured right with Danie Abbott (managing
director). He mentions that there’s a big focus on
water saving and they were drawing people to their
stand to teach them about the technologies available
as well as on overall sustainability.
Barpro Storage Systems had on display one of their
Storax mobile racking products. The company supplies
mobile racking to the cold storage industry. The
product doubles mobile racking space, compared to
conventional racking, explained sales and marketing
manager, Robert Kershaw (pictured). This product is
especially suitable for professionals looking to put as
many pallets as possible on a rack.
Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau (SA) exhibited a range of
their compressors suitable for flammable environments,
like refineries. Managing director Bernhard Blaeser
and representatives took visitors through the product
range, explaining their different properties, capabilities,
and saving abilities. From left is José Marques (branch
manager); Erik Wolfgang Bucher (director: sales
refrigeration); Jo-Anne Dietrich (branch administrator);
Tobias Fuhrer (product manager: reciprocating
compressors); and Bernhard Blaeser.
Carel Controls SA exhibited its latest in monitoring systems
and connectivity technology, which brings together the
capabilities of all its other control products. Products and
solutions on show included CO 2 transcritical solutions and
the latest innovation using BLDC compressor technology
to harness optimal energy-saving opportunities in both
the refrigeration and HVAC markets. The team, from left:

The decision-making power of FRIGAIR visitors this year is noteworthy,
with 24% of visitors being business owners and 11% being general
managers. Only 24% said they had no influence on decision-making.
Clever Shelf Systems (CSS)
offered an easy-fill
merchandising solution.
“We replace shelving with
a merchandising system
that assists with stock
rotation on the principle
of ‘first in, first out’,” said
Steve English, director (in
picture). They launched
the turn loader, which
can be retrofitted into a
multideck for cold rooms
with doors. According to
English, this reduces
energy consumption and gives more merchandising
space.
Colcoil Heat Exchangers, a division of Colcab, had on
display their latest adiabatic coolers for visitors to see.
Roy Carli, senior engineer at ColCab, was at the stand,
advising clients and offering solutions for heat
exchangers.
Cold Link Africa | RACA Journal was at the show to
promote subscriptions to the magazines as well as
registrations for its various online platforms. From left: Kristin
Long (database clean-up), Richard Bicker Caarten (MD),
Zeldalee du Toit (online subscriptions), and Chantelle van
Deventer (operations manager) encouraged visitors to
sign up.
