Want More Book Sales? by B.K. Walker The #1 question that comes across my desk is, “How do I get more book sales?” There are many aspects to obtaining more sales, and recently I listened to a woman speaking about businesses using a four square drawing. I thought, how can I use that to make it relate to book sales. This is what I came up with. In Quad One - What can you do to get book sales right now? Lower your price and let everyone know it’s on sale. Create a sale image and put your book cover and a teaser, put it to your Facebook and use bit.ly to shorten the link, which you must include with the picture. Use it in your an email to your mailing list and Tweet it. Pinterest - I LOVE Pinterest. Do a blog post and use the image., then post the image to your Pinterest account. Quad Two - What can you do to get book sales 6 months down the road? Virtual Book Tour. Believe it or not, your exposure continues well after a tour as people scroll through blog information checking it out to see what they can find. Quad Three - What can you do to get book sales a year from now? Get creative and come up with new ideas to get your book in front of readers. Keep seeking reviews and do something every day. Quad Four - Time Wasters! What causes you to stop your marketing efforts? Do you get lost in Facebook? Twitter? Pinterest? Let me tell you I can browse Pinterest for hours and hours, not even realizing the hours passed. Plan your day, prioritize your tasks, and leave the “Ding” from Facebook & Gmail until you have your list checked off. If it can wait, let it.
