computer tips
Arrange windows side by
side on a single monitor
Ever tried to compare two documents
on your computer? It can be tricky
resizing the windows to line up just how
you want them. There is an easier way
using Snap. You can use Snap to arrange
windows side by side, which can be
especially helpful when comparing two
documents or when moving files from
one place to another. It’s very simple
and can save you a lot of time.
To arrange windows side by side –
(Windows 7 or higher)
Drag the title bar of a window to the
left or right side of the screen until
an outline of the expanded window
appears. Release the mouse to expand
the window.Repeat steps 1 and 2 with
another window to arrange the windows
side by side.To return the window to
its original size, drag the title bar away
from the top of the desktop and then
release. Tip - To snap an active window
to the side of the desktop/monitor using
the keyboard, press Windows logo key
+ Left Arrow or Windows logo key +
Right Arrow.Make your Web Browser go
into full-screen mode. Sometimes when
surfing the web you want to just view
the content without the distractions of
your browsers tool bars. To get a clean,
uncluttered look, just press the “F11”
key and you’ll notice your web browser
switches automatically to full-screen.
When you want your computer to go
back to normal, press “F11” again. The
best thing about this trick is that it works
regardless of whether you use Firefox,
Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
