Do Not Disturbed feature on iPhone.
Being connected 24/7 to our friends, family and the entire
world through the internet, there can be times when you
need a little silence and don’t wish to be disturbed by
notifications and calls.
iPhone users may not know you have a great feature called
‘Do Not Disturbed’ on your phone.
Shadesails
To not be disturbed, one option is to put your phone into
‘silent’ mode, or power it off. Full disconnection can mean
no one can reach you in an emergency. What if you only
want to hear from a select group of people during these
times? Thanks to Apple’s Do Not Disturb feature, you can
still hear from friends, and family, but not be bothered by
anything else.

To use Do Not Disturb, you’ll need an iPhone, iPad or iPod
running iOS 6 or higher.
To enable Do Not Disturb. Launch Settings app > Locate Do
Not Disturb and turn it on.
It’s recommended to enable scheduling of your Do Not
Disturb feature.
•
In iOS 6, tap Notifications. In iOS 7, you can skip
this step. In iOS 6, move the slider to On. In iOS 7, move the
Scheduled slider to green.
•
In the From / To area, set the time during which
you want the feature turned on and when you want it to
turn off.
•
To let some calls through during this time, tap
Allow Calls From. From here, you can choose which groups
of contacts you’ll accept calls from. The simplest option
is choosing Favourites, but you could also choose other
contact groups in your address book.
•
In case of an emergency, you don’t want Do Not
Disturb to block someone from reaching you just because
they aren’t on your Allow Calls From list. That’s where the
Repeated Calls feature comes into play. Turn this on and
when the same number calls twice in three minutes, the
call will come through.
