Ladies, how many times have you looked around and thought about all the men in your life that you could’ve married but didn’t? Men that were nice to you, treated you the way you like to be treated, got along with your friends & family but for one reason or another things never went beyond being friends. He may have even expressed interest at some point but for whatever reason nothing ever came out of it. From the mailman to a co-worker, from a mutual friend to an old college buddy, surely there is someone in your circle that you could’ve possibly dated and married.
What about that last man standing? Have you ever thought about him? He may not be the smartest or the funniest or even the tallest but he’s always been there for you. That’s the man who stuck by you through rough times, was there for you when you needed it or may have even checked up on you when you were sick. That last man standing may not be the one that makes your heart race every time he calls or even look all that cute but he’s reliable, trustworthy and kind. He’s patient, sincere and always treated you with respect but for some reason you’ve always overlooked him. Isn’t this the type of man that you should have been dating all along?
Sometimes we may question why a good man is still single. Why hasn’t he been taken already? What’s wrong with him? Well, it’s important to know that the last man standing may not always be the loudest, most aggressive or even the most noticeable. A good man can be ignored and overlooked. He may not even know how to make himself more noticeable but is still a good catch nonetheless. Just because he’s not as outspoken as someone else doesn’t mean that he’s not a good man or isn’t interested in you.
There are some women who can’t see a perfectly good man even when he’s standing right in front of them. The man we think isn’t our type just may be the very man we need in our life. There’s nothing wrong with giving him a chance because he is probably the very one who will treat you right. So ladies, consider taking another look at the men in your life. You may be looking right past the last man standing.
