17: What's your favorite song on the soundtrack?

Victoria Justice: It’s probably between “Freak the Freak Out” and "Best Friend’s Brother”, which is a song that I actually wrote for the show.

17: What's the story behind "Best Friend's Brother" — did you ever have a crush on a friend's brother?

VJ: When I was around 14 years old, in 8th grade, I had this crush on my best friend’s brother. He was two years older than me. It was one of those things where I would go over her house and we would all play Halo 2 together and go swimming in the pool and stuff. I think we both had little crushes on each other, but it never went anywhere. If it had, it would have been really weird. I wouldn’t have been willing to risk my friendship for dating her brother. Friendship is always more important.

17: Do you ever get nervous before you perform?

VJ: I definitely still get a little stressed out and nervous. There’s a lot of pressure going on stage in front of all these people. It really is crazy though, because as soon as I get on stage in front of the crowd all of that goes out the window and all I care about is having fun and entertaining the crowd, and making sure they have a good time.

17: What do you do before you get out there, to calm your nerves?

VJ: I like to just chill and collect my thoughts and conserve my energy. That way when I finally have to get out there and perform I have a burst of energy. I just hang out backstage and breathe a lot.
