FERNIE TRAILS ALLIANCE many a miner, logger, and worker in the Kootenay region. It brewed‘ Beer From the Mountains’ here from 1901-1957, satisfying Fernie’ s thirst for roughly the same time period the mine up Coal Creek operated. Burned down by the 1908 Great Fernie Fire that reduced the city to ashes, it was deemed essential and rebuilt immediately.
