Sometimes, when I have worked with clients for
a while and they are already familiar with the
coaching process and have achieved positive
outcomes, I invite them to explore their own
coaching journey from the “other side;” i.e., to
explore who they were being at each stage of the
process and connect that with what they were
able to see as a possibility for action, or not, at
that moment. I encourage them to reflect on and
identify the changes in their patterns of thinking
and then invite them to look ahead into their
possible futures using only powerful questions
centered on who they would choose to become
to attain the future they envision.
