That is why we host the UK Coaching Awards which are supported by Gillette. As we look forward to the 2013 event we caught up with Q Shillingford, the 2012 Gillette Community Coach of the Year winner, who spoke with his usual infectious passion about coaching and the Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy. We all cheered on Mo Farah at the Athletics World Championships in Moscow where his 5,000m and 10,000m Golds confirmed him as one of the best distance runners of all time. His coach Alberto Salazar provides Coaching Edge with a fascinating insight into the techniques he uses with the double Olympic and World Champion. This edition also takes a further look at the new funding which has been made available for school sport.
