the children is a huge reward in itself.’
When questioned about "sacrifice", one
respondent commented: ‘Although I don’t
consider it a true sacrifice, we give up one
evening a week and most of a Sunday
throughout the season for local and away
fixtures. This involves time away, diesel for the car,
delaying work related and domestic chores and
administration until later… in truth this is simply
time spent with my children but it is also time
away from home in other
recreational choices.’
