Getting her start as a soloist in church at the age of 5, Ann Michal started participating in local pageantry, theater, television, and modeling / acting agencies by the age of 10. With her background, it’ s no surprise Ann is also now a successful bikini competitor and model. Fitness has played a vital role in her success not only for vanity’ s sake, but also for the improvement of her vocal ability. Ann says,“ Diaphragmatic breathing is integral to success- period! As a vocalist, diaphragmatic breathing is what gives you the support to sing better, louder, and longer notes, and also gives longevity in your career. As an athlete, breathing is just as important. Learning to breathe properly is going to be able to allow you the endurance to push through any workout. Sometimes I sing when I do cardio to train my breath control to always be in tip top shape on and off the stage. But there are way more benefits than just delivering oxygen! To name a few: it keeps you in good posture( which puts less tension and stress on your shoulders and neck and gives you awesome abs); it actually helps you digest your food better, which facilitates weight loss; it helps you sleep better( this is how we naturally sleep but we’ ve developed bad habits along the way); and it is not only a stress reducer, but a serotonin delivery system! The list can go on and on, but if you are into fitness, who wouldn ' t want to focus on this on a daily basis? As a performer, appearance also plays a factor. I want to make sure I make my audience happy by always sounding AND looking my best!”

Ann Michal is no stranger to hard work. She has developed her own businesses, performs, volunteers in her community, and still finds time to make fitness a priority. When asked about her daily life she said,“ My days consist of training, preparing, and marketing. I go to the gym daily. I rehearse for my performances. I spend time in the studio for vocal health management, recording, and currently learning the guitar for fun. Other activities are booking and managing my performance schedule, going to meetings in my hometown, and volunteering my abilities and time to help be a part of my community ' s revitalization by being the town ' s pageant director. I also started another company, selling clothing. I use poshmark as a marketplace to sell my stage and photo shoot costuming. I also sell new items under my new boutique. Oh, and I sing on stage a lot … anywhere between 2-8 shows a week. My favorite part of the day? Cuddling with my dachshund, Daisy.”
When it comes to training and diet, Ann finds a combo of cardio and weight training is best. She is an avid kick boxing fan, and she weight trains three times per week. As for her diet, she keeps it pretty simple.“ Holistic health is key,” she believes.“ I try to avoid eating dairy and bad carbs. I believe in probiotics, digestive enzymes, and juicing on a daily basis. But once a week, it’ s okay to treat yourself to something that you are craving. Life is too short not to enjoy! But I would rather enjoy my life, overall, being healthy.”
Ann is currently working in children’ s theater performances at the Vault in Berlin dressing up and singing as children ' s favorite characters. In the future, Ann hopes to continue as an entertainer, but be more focused on managing the many varieties of her brand. Her goal is to become one of the best artist development companies as well as becoming politically involved in making a difference!
