Reddick is not only a football player, he
is also an entrepreneur. Reddick has a
signature clothing line named “HR by
Indie Sport.”
“It is great,” says Reddick. “To be as young
as I am and starting my own business and
working on branding myself, it’s amazing.
I’m my own boss at 22 and I love it.”
It is not a question about if he gets drafted;
it is when. Some draft projections have
him being selected as high as a first-round
pick. If it were not for his determination
and belief in fulfilling his dream to play
football, he would not be in the position
he is in today. The path that he has taken
was not straight and narrow but full of
twists and turns and nearly a dead end.
He found a way to navigate around the
obstacles and has arrived at the 2017 NFL
Draft, his main destination.
“It is like God is writing the most beautiful
story, and I am the main character in it. It
is just crazy as I look back on everything.
I have been through (a lot) and where I
was at and where I am now, for the
draft to be in Philadelphia, 15 minutes
from home right in the same city I
played ball, the same year I coming
out of college and into the draft, it is a
beautiful thing.
“If you do something no matter what
the condition is, if you truly want to
do something, you will do whatever
it takes to make it happen,” Reddick
says confidently. “Everything that you
might take as a negative can come out
as a positive and be beautiful for you.
I wanted this more than anything. I
wanted to play football, and I found
a way. With my parents’ help, I found
a way to do that. I thought it was a
negative and thought to myself why
did this happen to me only for me
to have this story. It is a story with a
beautiful ending. If you truly want to
do something, you will do whatever it
takes to make it happen.”
“If you truly want to do something,
you will do whatever it takes to
make it happen.”
