“ Many times, people come from different backgrounds, and they do not always have the support that they hope for and expect. A lot of times, you have to be careful who and what surrounds you. If you see somebody that doesn’ t believe in your dream, no matter how big it is, everybody started from somewhere. Nobody was born into who they end up being later on in life. You should never let somebody tell you what you can and cannot be. You have to surround yourself with people who believe in you no matter what and don’ t influence you to do bad things.”
“ Sometimes people do not have the best family. Don’ t let that defeat you. At the end of the day it is just going to make you stronger in the long run. Never give up any situation you go in. Also, trust your most dominant thought. That’ s one thing that I learned. All the times I didn’ t trust my most dominant thought, it led me in situations where I look back and wish I would have. If you have to think about something too hard, you probably shouldn’ t do that. Just always put your all into everything because you do not want to live with regrets. Every day is your chance to achieve your goals if you walk that straight line. You are going to make mistakes, but as long as you learn from your mistakes, then you have the opportunity to move forward and succeed.”
Robby Anderson made the most of his second chance. The road to where hes is today was not a straight one, but one that allowed him to gain a lot of life lessons along the way. His experience is one that a lot of younger people can look to and learn from. Now he stands at the beginning of a new road, one that leads him through a path that almost anyone who has worn a football uniform dreams of being on. The shield with three letters awaits Anderson. He will be making the same acrobatic catches like the one he made against Houston in the AAC Championship Game. Most importantly, he rose up from his mistakes and now is doing well.
