Making funeral arrangements is important to our clients
but they tell us it’s not always easy to understand the
options available. Following extensive research with clients
and colleagues, we’ve developed two new At Need choices
to help clients make the best decisions for them.

During our research, clients told
us they really value the support
you give them. You’ll still be able
to talk to clients as normal about
their loved one – and it’s important
we continue to do this as part of
offering funeral choices.
The funeral choices of Simple,
Traditional and Classic will help you
talk about the options available and
give clients a manageable amount
of information. Clients can select
the funeral arrangement choice in
full without any changes, or they
can add options on or remove
them – like a certain type of coffin
– giving them the flexibility to
personalise the funeral to
meet their needs.
We’re also creating
new forms,
brochures and marketing
materials to show the new funeral
arrangement choices, with clear
illustrations of the typical funerals
people arrange and their cost.
Showing funeral arrangement
choices this way will help clients
understand clearly and upfront
what’s included in the funeral and
its costs, as well as helping us
explain the costs we don’t have
control over – such as third party
services, like the crematorium, or
the minister and officiant’s fees.
