What’s a Lasting Power of Attorney? SOUND advice Our Wills Advisors speak to clients first, offering free later and end-of-life planning advice. The team listen to clients to understand their circumstances and what they’d like to do, then see if there’s a legal need we can help with. There’s no obligation to take our products at the end of the conversation. If clients decide to go ahead, the Wills Advisor books them a telephone appointment with a Will Writer, who’ll take the client’s instructions so we can draft their Will, LPA – or both. 10 Our Voice / June 2017 James Antoniou, Solicitor – Head of Wills Practice An LPA is a legal document that allows you to choose someone you trust (called an Attorney) to make decisions for you during your lifetime. It means someone you trust will look after your finances, property, health and welfare if you can’t due to illness or an accident. You must put an LPA in place while you‘re capable of understanding it.
