MEET THE CMI TEAM!
Ronald Jones is the CEO and the man behind Collective Minds. While dual-majoring in international business and Spanish at Kennesaw State University, Ron has found the time to not only start a business, but to launch
a magazine all in one semester. His leadership and business intellect is
deserving of praise, however ironically he is no artist. When asked if he
would ever feature anything he created in one of his company’s magazines
Ron replied “Me? Oh no, I’m no artist. I couldn’t even draw a circle”. Ron
believes that his true strength is recognizing talent; he has selected several
individuals to help bring this vision to life. As the CEO, Ron understands
the importance of meeting the needs of his customers, employees, investors and art community. His motto is “To be a fortune 500 company you
have to act like a fortune 500 company”.

Julian Champ is a man that this company is counting on, literally. Majoring
in mathematics and engineering at Georgia College and State University Julian is one of this company’s most useful resources. He handles,
accounting, finances, budgeting and manages all expenses incoming and
outgoing with Collective Minds. He was recently chosen by one of his current professors to stand side by side and conduct research based on astronomy and programming. Julian has made the president list at GCSU and
the list of most important people at CMI. In addition to taking on all these
responsibilities for the company, Julian still finds time to prepare his transfer to Georgia Tech. I asked Julian where his loved for math stemmed from
and his response was inspirational to say the least. “The most important
thing I’ve taken from math is the idea that anyone who has never made
a mistake has never tried anything new. It also gives me hope that
every problem has a solution”. -Interview by Jordyn Castro
Ebony Short is the woman in front of the scenes. While majoring in journalism at Georgia State, Ebony has found the time to be on the cast of
Georgia state television named GSTV as well as lead and organize numerous campus events. This young, talented and active student not only hosts
most meetings conducted with the Collective Minds staff but also hosts all
meetings conducted with partnering organizations. Now that may sound
like a big task for a one individual but perhaps your mind will change
after you hear her credentials. Aside from hosting GSTV and her own talk
show, she has hosted a leadership summit in Colorado, open mic nights at
Georgia State, the seven hills rotary in Rome GA and a plethora of other
events, including a recent event in Miami. Ebony is extremely creative and
outgoing and when asked how she would describe herself in one sentence
she says, “I’m moralistic, ambitious and extremely passionate about
any task given to me”

This combination of leadership, dedication, intellect, networking ability and inspiration is what makes
the CMI team the perfect group of individuals to run such a prestigious magazine.
