About Me: I was born in Indiana, and moved to
Monegaw Springs, Mo., at the age of six. During the
war, I attended high school in Osceola. I made my
career at a defense plant. After 30 years, I retired from
Parker McCrory Manufacturing. After our retirement,
my husband and I moved to Bolivar. My hobbies are
cross-stitching, crocheting and leading an exercise
class, which I have done for years.
What I like about my job: I like the friendly and caring
staff at CMHCF. Love helping with Bingo. The residents
who attend have such a wonderful time.
Name: Joyce LeVere – Johnston
Years of Experience: 2 years
About Me: I was born and grew up in Chicago, Ill. I
worked as a secretary until 1946, when Chester
Levere and I got married. We have been blessed
with three children, five grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. In 1981, we moved a
manufacturing business to Stockton, Mo. I was
active in the business until 1986. Chet died in
1992. I married Robert Johnston but was widowed
again. In 2008, I moved to Bolivar to be close to
family. I enjoy traveling, gardening, sports and life
in general.
What I like about my job: I like helping with bingo
because the residents look forward to it and enjoy
it. The staff are great to work with.
