FOUNDATION 2013-14 FISCAL YEAR HIGHLIGHTS 4 CMH CEO Donald J. Babb received the Platinum Award for his commitment and support of Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA), and Derek Hunter received the MHCA President’s Legacy Award for his vision, expertise, innovation and commitment to longterm health care leadership. 4 Chris Vickers of Community Springs Healthcare Facility won the Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) David Duncan Administrator of the Year award. 4 Ash Grove Healthcare Facility and Parkview Healthcare Facility both won the MyInnerView’s Excellence in Action Award for Workforce Satisfaction and Resident Satisfaction. This award ranks these CMH facilities as being among the top 10% in the nation in both of these categories. 4 The CMH Butterfield Residential Care Center, Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, Colonial Springs Healthcare Center and Lake Stockton Health Care Facility were each awarded the MyInnerView’s Excellence in Action Award for Resident Satisfaction. In June 2013, CMH opened the Tremain Family Hospitality House for patients undergoing cancer treatment at the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center at CMH. Many patients travel long distances to receive their cancer treatments and often, as a result of their medical condition, are not physically able to travel multiple times per week for treatments. In addition, patients may live closer, but to prevent exposure to illnesses within their families, they need a safe environment to stay. 4 Butterfield Residential Care Center celebrated its 25th anniversary. 4 CMH developed plans for a new long-term care building for Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility that will embrace a new concept in senior living called person-centered care. The facility will be constructed next to Stockton Family Medical Center. The existing Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility will be converted to an assisted living facility. 4 Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation purchased Bolivar Family Care Center in October 2013. The clinic has been a mainstay to the Bolivar community for more than 30 years and is the largest physician clinic in the CMH system with eight physicians and five mid-level practitioners. The 11th Annual CMH Burgundy Ball featured NASCAR legend Kenny Schrader. Almost 600 attendees enjoyed the formal affair at University Plaza in Springfield. At the event Central Care Cancer Center (Alfredo Lopez and Claudia Perez-Tamayo, M.D.), Leo Shunyakov, M.D., J. Gustavo Nix, M.D., Debbie McQuay and Rodney E. Hoover, CRNA, received the Donald J.
