HOSPITAL 2013-14 FISCAL YEAR HIGHLIGHTS 4 CMH was named to the nation’s 100 “Most Wired” hos- pitals and health systems for the ninth time. The 2013 Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study, in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine, recognizes hospitals that use information technology to better serve and treat patients and to better run business processes. 4 Donald J. Babb, chief executive officer/executive director, was named to Studer Group’s 2013 Fire Starter Hall of Fame. Studer Group is an outcomes-based health care performance improvement firm that partners with hundreds of hospitals, health systems and medical practices to achieve and sustain improvements in patient satisfaction and clinical results. 4 The CMH cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation program was recertified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). CMH was recognized for its commitment to improving the quality of life by enhancing standards of care. They have been AACVPR certificated since 2000. 4 CMH Senior Health Center celebrated its 10 year anni- versary of providing a safe, convenient and free place for seniors to exercise. 4 Citizens Memorial Hospital/Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation was named to Springfield Business Journal’s 2014 Dynamic Dozen, honoring the 12 fastest-growing companies in southwest Missouri. This is the sixth consecutive year that CMH was named a Dynamic Dozen honoree. 4 CMH was the leader in the Ozarks for Consumer Reports’ new hospital ratings, as reported in April 2014. CMH started construction on the Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center expansion. The additional 80,000 square feet included four new surgical suites, new endoscopic lab, pre- and post-op area renovation, new Imaging Center that includes an MRI and PET/CT and the Breast Care Center, CMH Surgical Services, CMH Wound and Hyperbaric Center, Lab, Pharmacy, Deli, DJ Bean Coffee Bar, Information Services Department and new Physician Office Suites. The facility will be completely finished June 2015. 4 CMH was named a 2014 Business Class “Top 5” Award honoree by Springfield Business Journal. CMH is among 10 southwest Missouri businesses that are recognized as a model of excellence for financial performance, innovation and community involvement. 4 In Fall 2013, CMH established a rural health network agreement with Ellett Memorial Hospital, Appleton City.
