of my favorite things about CMA is Run for the Son, seeing the impact that we can make when all of us come together with one common goal. To spread the Gospel around the world. As a student, I didn’ t get involved in investing in this amazing opportunity, as I really didn’ t think about it. But now, looking back, knowing what I know today, I ask myself why not?

For me, I believe it was just due to it being difficult to“ give away what I have worked so hard to get.” I didn’ t have much to start with, so why would I give it away? It can be difficult to take that step, but I want to encourage you, it is so worth it.

Money will always be a hard topic to talk about, but I would like to turn your eyes to Mark 12:41-45, NIV.“ Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said,‘ Truly I tell you, this

poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything— all she had to live on.’” It doesn’ t matter if we don’ t have much to give; God will still bless it. God sees your willingness and sacrifice to support those around the world who have yet to hear about Him! You don’ t need to worry about what others will see or think of your amount. God knows your heart, so we don’ t need to worry about that.

There are students your age all across this country who have been creative in the ways they can invest in spreading the Gospel. Some of these ways include mowing yards, car / bike washes, bake sales, garage sales, lemonade stands, artwork, chores, movie nights, or pledges for sports activities.

I want to challenge you to pray about how you may be able to invest in spreading the Gospel between now and May 2, 2026. Pray about a goal that you can set this year, and take some time to read through this magazine, highlighting Run for the Son. I believe you will be amazed at

what you can accomplish.

You have the capability to be a world-changer. This can be in your school, church, group, or town. God wants to use you in spreading His love to those around you.

If you have any questions about Run for the Son, ask those around you in your chapter or state, and I believe they would be happy to help you.

Don’ t be afraid of God giving you a big goal; sit down with your parents to explore some fundraising ideas and start working. You just might be surprised at what you can do. I know we are excited to see what you can do this year! CMA
