And he rode right in. They didn’ t harm the Shawi pastor; they heard him out and even invited him back. So he went back, again, and again, preaching the Good News of Jesus to drug lords and cocaine farmers. And God showed up. Over time, that village accepted the Shawi pastor as their pastor. He has now planted a church in the village and is visiting three nearby villages as well.
Now, 70 percent of villagers have changed their crops to stop producing coca for cocaine and are now growing cocoa for chocolate.
All because of one motorcycle and a passion to share the Gospel.
That’ s not one changed life— that’ s changed LIVES— a village transformed with one $ 2,500 investment that you made through Run for the Son. And that’ s just one story that goes along with the 575 vehicles donated just this year.
There are countless other pastors trying to reach their communities, somewhere in a jungle where it’ s dripping hot, wet, or maybe

they’ re somewhere high in a mountainous area where it’ s stinging cold. They’ ve hoped and hoped and hoped that God would show up and encourage them in their ministry, but all they’ ve gotten is dead end after dead end. And now, they’ re starting to wonder. Does God remember me? Does God hear my cries for these people? I need a way to get to these people, but there’ s not a way.
And then, just at the right time, MVI hears about this guy. We show up with a motorcycle to equip him to do the ministry that God has called him to. And now he’ s equipped. But guess what else this Run for the Son motorcycle has done?
It has reminded this pastor that, yes, God does hear him. Yes, God does remember him. Yes, God is listening. And his personal faith in Christ is renewed. He has a story of grace that he’ ll tell for the rest of his life about God’ s faithfulness.
In some ways, the motorcycle was as much about renewing this pastor’ s faith as it was about reaching others. How to save a

life? Sometimes it just takes a motorcycle.
Thanks to Run for the Son and our transportation ministry, we can live out MVI’ s purpose of equipping nationals and making disciples across the world. In the past year alone, we have distributed 575 vehicles in 57 countries, transforming the way missionaries, pastors, and entire communities’ economies and faiths unfold.
So, when you are raising Run for the Son dollars for next year, think about the pastor who feels stranded in his ministry.
When the 13th bake sale is getting to be too much, remember this guy. He’ s out there. He needs us. And we can all dig deep together to help save his life, and in so doing, position him to share Jesus with the multitudes.
This is a cause worth giving your life for. Let’ s give our lives away to support this guy--all for God’ s glory. You’ ll be glad you did. CMA
