You can do it ! “ You can do it !” are four words from a CMA kid ’ s member in Nebraska . Lane and Abby Frost are two kids that we interviewed this year , asking about what they do for Run for the Son . Lane and Abby , just 10 and 8 years old , raise money for Run for the Son every year . If you have ever thought , “ I am too young to raise money ,” you ’ re wrong . Across the United States , people of all ages , are raising money for school trips and camps . Run for the Son is no different !
Here are answers to some questions you may have , or ones you may be asked by others :
What is Run for The Son ? Run for the Son is CMA ’ s Kingdom investment in ministry around the world .
What is the money used for ? The money raised for Run for the Son is used 100 % for missions . There ’ s 20 % that goes to Jesus Film Project ® who share the story of Jesus , 20 % that goes to Missionary Ventures International who provide transportation to pastors all over the world , and 20 % that goes to Open Doors who provide Bibles to persecuted people groups . The last 40 % is used by the Christian Motorcyclists Association for home missions inside the United States and CMA

International .
What impact does Run for the Son have ? In 35 years , with our ministry partners , we have reached 194 Countries and have recorded at least 34.5 million salvations . We have a goal for next year to reach a total of $ 100 million raised for Run for the Son ! Our goal to reach that for 2023 is $ 6.3 Million !
What can I do to raise money ? Start by looking at what you enjoy . Whether it ’ s bicycling , baking , cleaning , walking , or running ; you can take your hobbies and turn them into a fundraiser ! A great way we have seen young people use their talents and hobbies is through pledges . An example of a pledge could be : Your neighbor agrees to give you $ 1 for every time you jump on a pogo stick in 60 seconds . We ’ ve seen students get pledges for distance walking / running , bicycling , planking , wall squats , etc .
Others have done timed activities in an hour like free throws , volleyball spikes , or more distance activities like listed above . Some great group activities could be having a bake sale , car wash , lemonade stand , yard work , house cleaning , or chores . You can also ask for donations , taking the time to share about Run for the Son and why it ’ s so important .

These are some ideas , but you are not limited to what ’ s listed . Be creative and have fun ! CMA provides information for sharing about Run for the Son , so ask your local chapter members for help !
What do I need to raise money ?
1 ) Passion : You need to have a passion for the mission , showing how important it is to you . This will be contagious when sharing why you want to raise money .
2 ) Smile : Put on your smile ! Use your voice to show others how excited you are about what you ’ re doing .
3 ) Commitment : Pray about a goal and see what God tells you . Then strive to meet that goal ! And don ’ t be afraid if God gives you a big number – He will help you reach it if you ’ re willing to step out !
There are so many people in the world who need to hear about the love of Jesus – and you can be a part of sharing the Gospel with them . Every penny counts , so what are you waiting for ? CMA
