LETTER TO THE EDITOR
I wanted to reach out and express my sincere gratitude for one of your members who helped me while I was traveling from my hometown of Foreman, Arkansas, back to Fayetteville on Memorial Day.
My tire pressure light came on while I was driving between Waldron and Mansfield, and I stopped at a rest area in the middle of nowhere to see if I could find an air pump. I asked a woman nearby if she knew whether there was an air pump on site, and she told me her husband had an air compressor and would be happy to help.
As he was inflating my tire, he noticed it was in much worse condition than I realized and was close to blowing out. Instead of simply adding air and sending me on my way, he took the time to put on my spare tire, ensuring I could make it home safely.
Afterward, he and other members of your Christian motorcycle club prayed over me and gave me a small baby Jesus to keep in my car. Their kindness, generosity, and willingness to help a complete stranger touched me deeply.
What could have been a very dangerous situation ended with me arriving home safely, and I truly believe God was watching over me that day. Your members didn’ t just talk about their faith; they demonstrated it through their actions. In a world where we often hear about the negative, I wanted you to know that your club made a lasting positive impact on me.
Please extend my heartfelt thanks to the gentleman who changed my tire and to everyone who prayed with me. I will never forget their kindness, compassion, and willingness to stop and help someone they had never met.
Thank you for being a shining example of faith in action.
With gratitude, Ashlee Haywood
