IN 2003, Jerod and Jennifer McPherson were invited to serve the teenagers of the Christian Motorcyclists Association at the National East Rally in Marietta, Ohio. Hired as National Youth Movement Evangelist in August, Jerod and Jennifer, along with their four young children, began traveling across the United States to minister to students, identify and train youth leaders, and develop a framework to integrate teenagers into the daily experience of CMA. The CMA Youth Movement quickly grew, impacting many lives and bringing a familyinclusive culture to the forefront of CMA. The McPhersons championed CMAβ s involvement in motocross ministry at local tracks and national races. As they traveled and served at various |
motocross tracks across the country, CMA members embraced their vision, firmly establishing CMAβ s motto,β Here if you need us,β for the many motorcycle racing families. Inspired by a desire to provide an environment where young people could experience the transformative presence of Jesus, CMA Youth Movement held its first " Flame On!" in December 2009. Affectionately dubbed the biggest indoor campout in the South, Flame On! has been a life-changing experience for many young people, helping many find freedom from life-controlling addictions. Beginning in 2004, Jerod and Jennifer also hosted and led worship for CMAβ s Pastorsβ Retreat, which continues to be one of their favorite places to serve each year. Additionally, Jerod has contributed to the development of CMAβ s Seasons of Refreshing program, creating content and coordinating training |
efforts that support CMAβ s clear mission of biker evangelism. Their involvement with CMA media, participation in Run for the Son promotion, and leading international mission trips are just a few of the many ways Jerod and Jennifer love to serve.
In 2013, Jerod was invited to serve as Vice President of Evangelism. In this role, he has enjoyed networking with CMAβ s state leadership and national evangelists, focusing on team building and unity. Jerod and Jennifer pour their hearts into supporting CMAβ s leaders. They have been continually amazed by the abundant blessings Christ has bestowed on them through the ministry of CMA. It has offered their family a nurturing environment, opened numerous doors for them to serve the Lord, and most importantly, has deepened their relationship with Jesus. CMA
