encountered warm friendship and love. When we met CMA USA leaders and members and the other international leaders, we were welcomed like family then, and could have very happily stayed in the USA, if it weren’ t for our girls back in Australia.
Our journey and relationship with CMA USA and CMA International have developed personal relationships that we still hold dear and are close like family. It will be our great pleasure in joining with CMA USA to celebrate 50 years, coming home to meet new members, renew old friendships, and reunite with family in the international circle. To us“ welcome home” will be embracing family and meeting the extended family that we are yet to encounter.
Bulgaria. My first time at the Changing of the Colors Rally was back in 2014. At that time, there were only a few of us in Bulgaria, so the very first thing that filled my heart was being together with nearly 5,000 people at Iron Mountain. It was incredible to see so many people committed to the ministry. I quickly realized then that I was truly welcome— that I am at home. The love and
warmth shown by all the CMA’ ers in every interaction was genuine and deeply moving. Even though we were thousands of miles away from Bulgaria, we felt right at home.
Over the years, I’ ve had to call on my CMA brothers in different countries to help some of our members who ran into trouble during their motorcycle trips. Likewise, I’ ve received calls from CMA’ ers in countries far from Bulgaria asking me to support their members travelling through our country. Knowing that there is always a CMA’ er ready to help, no matter where we are, is truly amazing.
When we share these stories with our non-Christian friends, they are always impressed. It’ s through this kind of love and support that they see— we’ re always there when they need us.
As the 50th Anniversary Changing of the Colors Rally draws near, our CMA International family is eager to join in this milestone celebration— not only to look back with gratitude, but to look forward with renewed commitment. For the first time, the International Leadership Conference and National Leadership Conference
will unite with a shared focus on Intentional Leadership. We believe that through these connections and the strengthening of leaders worldwide, God will continue to expand and deepen the impact of CMA in every nation.
When our international brothers and sisters stand alongside our CMA USA family during the Changing of the Colors Rally, we know they will experience the same warmth, friendship, and spiritual encouragement described in their stories. Our prayer is that this gathering ignites a greater passion for evangelism in every heart and inspires us all to,“… take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong”( Hebrews 12:12-13, NLT). CMA
