MARK has owned motorcycles and loved riding them since he was 12, so after he was saved and we were married, he started looking for a group of Christian riders. He attended the local chapterβ s meetings, Bikers for Christ, and went to his first Daytona Bike Week, where he met Curtis Clements and Greg Heinritz from CMA National. After that, he applied and became a member in 1987. I joined shortly after, as my first memories are of bringing our youngest daughter to the chapter meetings in her baby carrier, as she was born in April of 1987.
CMA has always been an integral part of our lives, and we took advantage of the familyfriendly atmosphere. Our daughters attended chapter meetings and events with us. We built family vacations around National CMA rallies, so our daughters

experienced childrenβ s activities with the Heinritzβ s and youth activities with Victor Rowell and the Shreve boys. We all benefited from building long-lasting relationships with CMAβ ers in our local chapter, across the state, and within the United States.
Mark held several offices within the local chapter, and in 1991, at one of our first RFS events, he was asked by the State Coordinator, John Messina, to serve as a Florida Area Representative. He worked with 12 chapters at that time. In 2008, Gary Wadding, the National Evangelist, asked Mark to be the Florida State Coordinator. For 17 years, I served alongside Mark and an incredible team of Area Reps, and we loved being part of this ministry that has stayed true to its mission of changing the world, one heart at a time. The opportunities to ride and share in Florida are almost year-round, so it has
|
been our privilege to be a part of equipping our people and facilitating those opportunities.
One of the most incredible aspects of this ministry is Run for the Son and its far-reaching impact for the Kingdom! What an amazing opportunity for each of us to invest in the advancement of the Good News, especially to people groups we would never encounter on our own. Mark and I have had the privilege of going on several mission trips together and separately. The photographs we see canβ t compare to seeing and hearing, firsthand, what is accomplished with our RFS dollars. My experience in Ghana in April 2024 was that the people were so appreciative of what they received through RFS that we were overwhelmed by their generosity.
Thank you, CMA, for the opportunities you have provided us and for the growth you have helped us achieve! CMA
