CMA NATIONAL EVENTS
CMA ’ ERS KINDNESS We camped at Queen Wilhelmina last month and went to a yard sale one morning in Mena . ( We didn ’ t realize your organization held it until we left .) Everyone was so kind . We met folks from your organization in Sturgis one year when my dog , Ponder , was just a wee puppy . Anyway , I wish we had thanked the lady who helped us buy my dog a stuffed moose , which she just had to have . Just as at the Sturgis rally , folks from CMA were so nice to us as we traveled alone .
My first trip after my husband died was when Ponder and I found ourselves in Sturgis during the rally . It wasn ’ t planned , and so we didn ’ t have any reservations . The campgrounds were full . We wound up meeting some folks with CMA who were holding conversations with the rally attendees as they visited downtown . They invited Ponder and me to their camp , and we stayed with them for several days .
We met some very nice people , many with CMA . They didn ’ t know I was alone and worried when I met them , and I didn ’ t say much about that . We just relaxed and enjoyed everyone ’ s company . One day we rode with a couple to Mt . Rushmore . That was the day Ponder received her first pair of Doggles . Their dog wore a pair to keep the wind out of his eyes when riding on the motorcycle . Ponder still wears a pair . For a recent widow with no family and one who lost her house in 2016 , the kindness , hospitality , and overall concern shown for us was wonderful . It ’ s a fond memory .
Another time , we had a flat going up Magazine Mountain in Arkansas , on a Sunday , no less . A large group of bikers stopped to help and stayed until we made it to camp . I don ’ t feel afraid of traveling alone . I have had so many positive experiences . I wouldn ’ t hesitate to ask a biker or a group of bikers for assistance . It ’ s very comforting to know that I can .

GO ! This past weekend , five of us from the Spirit of the SON and Redeemed Riders chapters participated in a memorial poker run for SPC . Justin R . Helton . At one of the stops , I introduced myself to a member of an MC who was in town from Kansas City for a family reunion and decided to go on the run . I asked him what his club was about . The bottom rocker said , " clean & sober ." He proceeded to tell me that to be in the club , you must be a part of AA or NA . He also told me he knew some of the CMA ' ers from KC , and they have been around the club before .
I first want to commend the KC chapter for rubbing elbows with them . It is our job to take Jesus to all . Ministry is not cookie-cutter type stuff , and at times can get pretty messy ; however , if you feel the nudge from Him to go , GO ! Obey the Holy Spirit ' s directions , and He will make the way ! You could be the one someone needs to find Jesus through .
