There is a small convenience store right before this where we finally got some water . Praise the Lord !
Enjoy the rural country scenery and old historic homes as you ride back to Camden . Once there , exploring the small β downtown β area only takes a moment . It would be best to visit the Black Belt Treasures Cultural Arts Center to take home a treasure from a local artist . I had made reservations for dinner at Gaines Ridge Dinner Club . Enjoy dining in a plantation home established in 1827 . The meal was a little pricey but was worth the ambiance of the grand home setting . They are open Thursday- Saturday , 5:30- 9:00 PM . If the plantation dining is not for you , plan your ferry and travel times to check out Pecan on Broad , a local restaurant located on Broad Street in Camden that comes highly recommended by locals . Check out their Facebook page for times and menus .
From there , we headed East on Hwy 10 towards home . It takes us through the small historic town of Pineapple , Alabama , which is filled with many old homes that I always love to admire . Be sure to call us if you decide to go on this adventure . If we are available , we would love to meet and eat a meal or ride the ferry together . I β ll bring the water ! CMA
