EVEN though we have stepped down as Area Reps , God is still using us , and we wanted to share this testimony with you .
I work from home , so I was able to take a call from Jim Schaffner , the Chapter Vice President of CMA Ottumwa Chapter . He found our number in the HeartBeat magazine while on vacation with his family , he was trying to get CMA to find out about a customer from Oklahoma .
He told me he worked at a motorcycle shop in Ottumwa , Iowa . The man he was selling a bike to was on his way from Tulsa , Oklahoma , the day before and had a bad motorcycle wreck in Kansas City , Missouri . All he knew was his name and cell number ( that he wasn ' t answering ). He had been on his way up to Iowa from Oklahoma to pick up his new bike when the rear tire blew out on the bike he was riding , causing him to wreck .
Jim told me that ' s all he knew besides the gentleman was taken to St . Luke ' s Hospital in serious condition . I told him I would call and get someone on it and let him know what we found .
I talked to my husband , David , and then I called Nerissa Combs , Missouri Area Rep , and told her what was going on . I then looked online and found the crash report and sent it to her , along with Jim ' s contact information and the name of the motorcycle rider .
Nerissa called with an update to tell me that Chris , of Swordbearer ' s for Christ # 49 , located the rider and could go see him at the hospital . The rider had three broken vertebrae in his neck and was alone . He didn ' t know where his bike was . Nerissa said Chris told him that he would locate his bike , and if salvageable , he would get it . Chris also offered to let him stay at his house if he needed to once he was released .
The rider was amazed and couldn ' t figure out how CMA knew about his wreck and already had someone there to see him and pray for him . He said , " I want to join CMA !" Praise God ! This is a wonderful testament to CMA doing what CMA does .
Nerissa said that Chris is also flying high on being a part of the blessing . Praise God , for He is good !
