MAY

is an exciting month at the CMA National / International Support Center. This is the month when the team in Hatfield processes the bulk of the Kingdom investments into Run for the Son in preparation for the celebration at the June National Rally in Altoona, Pennsylvania. We enter into this month with much prayer and expectation for what God will do. The DNA of CMA is interwoven into the Great Commission stated in Matthew 28:18-20( NKJV):“ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,‘ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” We go. We invest. We equip others to go. We teach. We offer the cup of living water to the one God places in our path and provide resources to Christians around the world to give them the opportunity to do the same. Our vision is changing the world, one heart at a time.
Looking back on my history in CMA, I remember my first CMA rally was in Texas. I did not take my family because I wanted to see what it was all about. Much to my amazement, I found a group of people who rode motorcycles, loved Jesus, and had a strong
Christian witness. That night, Tom Pitman preached the message. He was the first Evangelist to join Herb in the ministry; they went to Bible school together. After the message, I went to my pup tent and crawled inside, thinking I would go to sleep, but much to my surprise, the people continued to praise and worship until midnight. Never had I encountered something like this. I knew this was an environment where I would like to involve my wife and kids. I went home, shared this with Mrs. Becky, and the entire family joined CMA. As we traveled the USA by motorcycle as a family, both of my kids grew closer to God. My younger son, Jeremy, accepted Christ in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, at a CMA rally. Lynn McBride, another Evangelist for CMA, gave the message that night, and Jeremy raised his hand for salvation and prayed. I soon realized that there were unreached people all around me and that our lives were being changed. The four of us embraced the calling of God to take the Gospel to bikers.
At that time, CMA was the only ministry reaching out specifically to bikers. Some people in our home church could not understand why we would be at motorcycling events on Sundays when we should be in church. They soon began to realize that our passion and call of God was steadfast, and their thoughts of us ministering on Sunday began to change. The
church had plenty of people to share the Gospel with on Sundays, but the motorcycling world did not.
My family and I have been steadfast in knowing we were called by God and have had a commission to do whatever is necessary to share the Gospel. Mrs. Becky and I literally raised our children on the back of motorcycles as we crossed the United States year after year. Our lives have been impacted and enriched through the ministry of CMA and the opportunity it has given us to share the love of Jesus.
I am looking forward to the National Rally in Altoona, Pennsylvania. I know that the Spirit of God will move. I know that CMA members and other guests will hear messages God has prepared for them to hear. I know hearts and lives will be touched by the love of God, and that just like my family’ s lives were changed, others will walk away changed as well. I cannot wait to see you there and to see what God is going to do. CMA
