I joined a CMA chapter in North
Idaho in 1989 called Glory Bound Riders. I was their road captain for a few years, even though I did not have a CMA number until 1991. I basically rode with them for Christian fellowship and a ride group. I really did not get into the ministry side of CMA until 2004 in Florence, Oregon, where I was the founding president of Mid Coast Soldiers. This is when I really felt God’ s calling on my life. I really enjoyed the ministry and led a very faithful group into doing a lot of secular rally ministry each year. I was president for eight years, then became the Fast Lane Area Rep, then the lead Area Rep for nine years.
It was different, going from primarily secular rally ministry to ministering more to CMA members and helping chapters. But God changed my heart to realize that is where He wanted me to serve. I still went to rallies and

ministered at secular events, but He wanted me to focus on helping others build up and prepare them to minister more effectively. After nine years of being Area Rep, my wife, Terri, and I were moved into the State Coordinator position for Oregon, where we served another almost two years. We enjoyed leading the Oregon team of leaders. The previous State Coordinators mentored us, giving us the knowledge and tools to succeed in the new position. The team we led was such a faithful, hardworking group of people; it was a couple of the best years for us, and we had such a good team of friends and co-workers to grow in the things God would ask of us in the future. |
We were asked to serve as National Evangelists for the West Region in 2021, drastically changing our lives. We shut down our excavation / construction business and became fulltime evangelists on the road most weeks of the year. Our children had just about all graduated, so it was God’ s perfect timing for us. This position is such a stretch for me, and I have to rely on God daily for the wisdom and the ability to do as He wants. CMA |
