WILD

and Wonderful West
Virginia has many offroad adventures waiting for you to check out! The Hatfield-McCoy trail system is one of those great adventures. The Hatfield-McCoy trails include 11 different interlinked trail systems in the heart of Southern West Virginia mountain country. With over 1,000 miles of trails, there is something for everyone; from the relaxing " green " trails to the super technical " black diamond " trails, plenty of riding fun will be had.
Three of our favorite trail systems are Devil Anse, Rockhouse, and Buffalo Mountain. Those trail systems take you
through the heart of coal country and are rich with mining history. Throughout the area, there are many things to explore, like the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum, feeding the " wild horses,” many local diners, and the Devil Anse Cemetery and Museum, all of which are accessible from the trails. Along the way, you will be surrounded by God ' s magnificent and breathtaking creation that you can only see from the trail. The Hatfield-McCoy trails are open year-round and do require a permit. Check out trailsheaven. com for more information on the rules and regulations.
