DEAR

CMA Family ,
Brothers and Sisters in Christ , for whom we ride , greetings and love from CMA Netherlands .
The year 2023 was a great year for us as CMA NL . We celebrated our 25th anniversary as members of the worldwide CMA family . CMA NL was established in May 1998 , and we had a nice weekend with guests from some CMA countries in Europe . Later , we had a party at our clubhouse , where a lot of befriended clubs came by and celebrated with us .
From our beloved member Chris , who passed away in 2022 ( see the story in CMA International HeartBeat 2023 ), we received a legacy . So even before he died , Chris took care of that . After his death , the ministry of CMA NL got some financial help to work on our mission to reach the biker community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ . We were able to attend several motorcycle shows with our booth , we were able to invest in booth material , and we invested in a new item to spread the Good News : the QR code keyholder !
We all know about the biker Bible , the Hope for the Highways . This is an item we have had for many years to give away to bikers . Because our storage ran out , we were looking for a new print . In that search , we discovered the possibility of the QR code keyholder . On one side is the CMA logo , and on the other , a QR code . It is easy to give away . People scan the QR code and are able to read testimonies of CMA members and have access to the Bible in the language they want .
The members of CMA NL try to reach out to bikers by visiting clubs / clubhouses , motorcycle rallies , and shows . We also organize biker church at two places every month , and we participate in the unicycle competition in the MC world .
If you want to know more about the unicycle demo-racing , look for info on YouTube . In 2023 , we came in first of the year . Bikers joke that it is hard to race against CMA because we have holy petrol or that angels help our members . For us , it is not important to finish first ; we are there to help others and bring to practice that we are there when needed ( e . g ., with first-aid ).
Another particular thing some members do is to go riding together on a nice Sunday afternoon to a place where bikers meet . In the picture , you see the place we call De Pier . It is a place in the north of the Netherlands with a ferry to one of the Dutch Isles . They bring coffee and hot water in thermos bottles plus the additional goods and serve coffee or tea at the meeting place . Almost anytime , this leads to good conversations about who we are and what we stand for . It is a great opportunity to serve and practice our faith ! Did Jesus not say that whoever gives a glass of water to somebody in His name it is giving it to Christ Himself ? The coffee and the talks also create possibilities to hand out a biker Bible or a QR code keyholder , all in Jesus ’ name !
United in Christ . CMA
