‘ BREAK MY HEART FOR WHAT BREAKS YOURS ’

Hello from CMA UK , Worship plays a big part in the ministry of CMA , and rightly so , but occasionally some stand-out lyrics will bring us to our knees – the Holy Spirit stops us in our tracks with a challenge that we can ' t ignore . One such song for me is Hosanna by Hillsong , and it ' s the following lyrics in the bridge section : “ Heal my heart and make it clean Open up my eyes to the things unseen . Show me how to love like You have loved me . Break my heart for what breaks

Yours . Everything I am for Your Kingdom ' s cause . As I walk from earth into eternity .”
The key line is ' Break my heart for what breaks Yours ' – it ' s one of those songs where we should keep asking ourselves if we really mean it .
Recently , we said goodbye to a very special member of CMA UK who passed into Glory to meet her Saviour face to face . Her name was Mavis .
Mavis became concerned about the safety of bikers who raced past her home in Lancashire , England . She discussed it with the Minister of her church , and he
Mavis encouraged her to pray for them , but that wasn ' t enough for Mavis . She knew
she had to go and tell them personally about Jesus . There are many similarities in the story of how God began CMA in the USA by calling Herb Shreve to reach the motorcycling community .
Twelve years ago , Mavis contacted Sid O ' Neil , a local member of CMA , and asked for some Biker Bibles . Sid admits he
wondered what this little lady was going to do with them , but
Mavis
she was back for more within a few days ! After that , Mavis became a prolific witness to bikers alongside CMA and became a significant part of our CMA family . Her life lived for Christ was a great example to us all . It didn ' t matter whether she rode a bike or not ; her prayer was ‘ Break my heart for what breaks Yours , Lord , everything I am for Your Kingdom ' s cause .’ She didn ' t just sing it ; she lived it .
Mavis put aside anything that would get in her way , even her age – ( she was well into her eighties when she went to Glory ). She lived close to a biker gathering called ‘ Devils Bridge ’ and could be seen loving bikers into the Kingdom , handing out Biker Bibles with homemade biscuits . So , what made
Mavis special ?
Her heart to serve , dedication , and passion for the Gospel and the fact that nothing
could hold her back . In CMA UK , we are impacting bikers in many different areas : Rallies ( 24-hour coffee marquees we call Holy Joes Cafes ), road racing , the offroad scene , touring community , sidecar clubs , biker cafes , biker memorials for those who have died on the road , biker funerals , armed forces , prison ministry , youth outreach , custom and chrome , learner riders , 125cc riders , adventure bike riders , trikes , straight-lining .
These are good opportunities , but we will see even more bikers ' lives changed if we approach our ministry with a heart as Mavis had . The Kingdom of God can use even the most unlikely of people .
A little old lady surrendered her life to God ' s call , and Jesus said , “ Come follow Me , I ' ll make you a fisher of bikers .” So , what ' s stopping you ? God Bless you . CMA
