THIS month ’ s edition of the
HeartBeat is one of my favorite editions as you get to hear from our CMA International family and see what God is doing around the world . CMA is in 39 nations around the world , with one new country in the application process . Our international family is as unique and diverse as our chapters are here in the USA and it is with great honor that I have the opportunity to serve this portion of the CMA family on behalf of the ministry . While we may not all speak the same language , we have one thing in common , the vision of changing the world , one heart at a time through ministry to motorcyclists .
In January of this year , I traveled to meet our CMA Portugal family . For them , it was the first time that a CMA International representative has ever visited them . For me , it was my first time traveling to Portugal . It was a blessing to meet the team there and see firsthand the love the leaders have for the ministry of CMA and their members . They have a unity of heart and purpose that is inspiring . In true CMA fashion , no matter where we went , they were always eager to feed me . They live up to the old joke that says CMA stands for Constantly Munching Anything .
Upon returning from this trip , I flew to meet with our CMA Mexico leadership team . Their team has grown from four directors ( who all
|
served as Area Reps ) and one Area Rep in 2021 to five directors and six Area Reps / Area Reps in Training . For the first time in CMA Mexico history , they were able to present training materials to equip their leaders for their work in the ministry . It is encouraging to see this type of growth and to see their unity for serving God .
As of the writing of this article , I was preparing to fly to Croatia to meet with our CMA Europe leaders for a weekend of prayer and training . While the times are challenging right now , I know that God has called us not to be distracted by what is happening on our left and on our right . He has asked us to be a people focused on Him and Him alone . Where He calls us , He equips . It is our job to listen and obey . There is no safer place than to be in the center of God ’ s will for our lives . With that knowledge , the leaders from all around Europe came together to pray and build stronger CMA family relationships . Each leader faces unique struggles and challenges ; yet , our call remains the same . We are to go to those who are lost and share the Good News of the Gospel message .
Psalm 91 is a passage I am reading and praying regularly as I follow God through these travels . In verse 13 ( NLT ) it states , “ You will trample upon lions and cobras ; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet !” This tells me that the path will not always
|
be easy . In fact , we are going to face hard circumstances – impossible situations . But , verse 14 comes with a promise and this is where our focus must be , “ The Lord says , ‘ I will rescue those who love me . I will protect those who trust in my name .’” No , the path will not always be safe and easy , but as we trust in God , He will see us through to accomplish His will and purpose . CMA
