CMA International
By PATRICK Couchement
has been a good year for CMA
Belgium; we did have some
challenges, but also lots of bless-
ings, good times, and very good
relations amongst us. I think it’s
because we went along with CMA
International and focused on the
aspect of CMA Family, and we real-
ly felt that. I’ve been with CMA for
10 years, but I never felt this kind of
connection between members
before. I’ll try to give you an idea
about what we did in 2018; keep in
mind this is only a small resume:
There was a member that gave
his heart to Jesus a few years ago;
however, he didn’t really fit in the
DNA of CMA. God guided it so we
were able to integrate him in
another ministry where he still
serves today. Because this all was
led by prayer, transmission went in
very good understanding and good
relations are maintained. We really
felt God’s hand in this.
We had three new full members
and four new people interested in
joining the ministry. We attended 12
secular rallies; at one of them we
had a helm-wash stand. Because of
It
very good contacts with a law
enforcement motorcycle club, we
were invited as the only non-LE MC
to an internal international World
War remembrance ride. We were
even asked to do a biker blessing.
Lots of good contacts were made
and this will repeat in 2019.
This year we enjoyed CMA
Family across borders; we visited
CMA UK, CMA Netherlands, and
CMA France. Our ladies also
attended a CMA women’s confer-
ence in the Netherlands. Time was
spent as we organized the first rally
of our own. Attendance was low,
but because of that we had lots of
time to spend with the few bikers
that came. Also, we had a stand at
a Gospel concert from a very
famous singer (Dan Luiten) and it
was at a benefit fair in a big city
(Charleroi).
One of our members had serious
health issues, but after a few
months he rejoined us again in min-
istry. We organized a road captain
training, so now CMA Belgium can
also provide help for different
organizations who need road cap-
tains. Our first task will be in July
2019.
Unfortunately, another member
had a very bad bike accident. He is
recovering well and will have no
permanent damage. However, he
needed to learn to speak and walk
again. He’s looking forward to rid-
ing again.
Sometimes you reach other peo-
ple than you expect. We attended
an opening of a biker restaurant,
and we didn’t get connected with
any bikers, but we had good con-
versations with the photographer.
Afterwards, we noticed that a pic-
ture of our backs was posted on the
restaurant’s page. This happened
because of the connection we made
with the photographer.
Above all, and I want to repeat it,
we felt unity and love. We trust this
has been noticed by the bikers we
met and visited. It is hard to give a
complete view of what’s going on
over here, but we have a CMA
Belgium Facebook page that we
update regularly. Feel free to follow
us. CMA
