you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it . Don ’ t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News . The Good News has been preached all over the world , and I , Paul , have been appointed as God ’ s servant to proclaim it ” ( Colossians 1:23 , NLT ).

CMA is an evangelistic ministry with 50 years of responding to the call to go into all the world and proclaim the Good News . We are an organization filled with men and women who agree that they have the same calling Paul talked about when he said , “ The Good News has been preached all over the world , and I , Paul [ insert your name ], have been appointed as God ’ s servant to proclaim it ” ( Colossians 1:23c , NLT ). We realize that the calling of God to share the Good News of the Gospel is upon every believer . Our heart is to ensure those who are called are also equipped , which is why we start each year with Seasons of Refreshing . These weekend events are filled with evangelism training and relationship building that enable us to more effectively go out and proclaim the Good News .

I have found that if we will just make ourselves available to hear from the Holy Spirit and go have fun , when we least expect it , He will guide us into areas where we have an opportunity to introduce

people to the life changing love of Jesus Christ . Some accept salvation immediately . Others take patience and relationship . It is not our job to force the issue , but to listen to the Holy Spirit .

Years ago , I met a man at a local motorcycle event . He was very outgoing and had a lot of influence . We struck up a conversation as he and I both rode a black Harley . As soon as he realized that I put more miles on my Harley than he did , I gained instant respect from him . Over time , I would be in various parts of the USA and hear someone holler , “ Hey , Brother John !” I would look and there he was .

After some time , I began to sense that God was doing something in his life as it was a mess . When things got worse for him , he called me and asked if I was going to Sturgis , to which I replied , “ Yes , I go every year .” He said he wanted to talk to me and that he would meet me there . That year , as we sat in the tent in the rain , I shared about Jesus , trying to follow the Holy Spirit , cautious of not overdoing it , yet sharing the truth . It was like he had already heard all he wanted to hear , and he was anxious for me to stop talking because he just wanted to accept Jesus . I led him in a prayer , and he surrendered his life to Jesus . When we finished praying , he went to his bike and took things out of his saddlebags and

destroyed them . From that point , he quickly grew in Christ and started to impact other people that needed Jesus .

The key in all of this was that I made myself available and went to the rallies where the people were . I went places where there was no other Christian witness . Initially , there was only one person that would go with me , and his wife told him that he was going to keep fooling around with John Ogden until he got him killed . I look back at that time and am thankful for the boldness God gave me to go and the fun I had in going . I am also thankful for the ministry of CMA who provided connection and prayer support as I went .

As we gear up for the 2025 riding season , I want to end with encouragement from Colossians 1:23a-b ( NLT ), “ But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it . Don ’ t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News .” Attend a Seasons of Refreshing event , spend time with Jesus , and open your heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit as you prepare yourself to walk in the appointment of your calling to share the love of Jesus , changing the world , one heart at a time .
