( continued from page 23 ) almost all year round on all my bikes , including riding the Indian Roadmaster . They tend to make your feet hot as they are waterproof , heavy-duty tall boots . The only time I wear a different boot while riding is when riding the KTM 500 on hardcore terrain , where I need a little more protection from rocks , stumps , and high-speed offroad , so I wear my motocross boots .
Out of all the adventure motorcycle boots I ' ve owned , these are by far my favorite . They are pretty protective , very comfortable , waterproof up to about 3 Β½ " from the top , and nice looking , with improved ankle support over any of the others I have seen . I have been wearing them for well over 10,000 miles on rides from dirt and mud to adventure to street riding , and they show almost no wear other than a little dirtier . I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great adventure boot . I also wanted to state that I normally am not an Alpinestar fan . I usually prefer Garne , TCX , or Sedici , but these had all the features I was looking for , especially the better ankle support , and I fell in love with the comfort and durability of these boots .
Get out there and ride the adventure , love on people everywhere you go , and share the fantastic news of Jesus with all you meet along the way . See you on the highways and byways or the gravel roads or trails . You never know . CMA

Overconfidence is a serious problem for riders . This causes riders to ride too fast for their skill level or to attempt maneuvers they are not ready for . A common factor in almost all crashes is the rider exceeding their skill level .
S-Self-assess . Riders should constantly be assessing their riding . Physical and mental ability needs to be assessed . As riders grow older , their vision may diminish , especially at night . Their mental processing may slow down , and their physical ability may deteriorate . Self-assessment will help us to realize and compensate for any loss of ability . Assessment can be done in several areas : Knowledge - How much do I know about my motorcycle ? Why does it perform the way it does ? Limits - What are my riding limits ? Do I exceed those limits ? What am I doing to overcome those limits ? Cooperation - Do I cooperate in traffic ? Am I an aggressive or impatient rider ? Skill - What is an honest assessment of my riding skill ? What am I doing to improve those skills ?
Perform TCLOCS on your bike to keep it in top condition for riding . Perform TCLOCS on yourself to keep you in top riding condition . Make your ride safer and more enjoyable by checking on the most important part of the bike : the rider . CMA
