home-cooked meal in an environment similar to your grandma ’ s kitchen . Be careful not to order too much breakfast because you will not be able to eat it all , but a take-home box is always offered .
Leaving Munroe ’ s , off to the right , we can see the Presidential Mountain Range , with the granddaddy , Mount Washington . Next , we turn eastbound on Rt . 302 , heading toward Crawford Notch . You will gain better views of Mt Washington and its famous Cog Railway that takes you to the summit . It is a ride you will never forget and well worth the trip .
Don ’ t ride too fast along these roads because if you do , you will miss the beauty of this area . Near the summit of Rt . 302 , you ’ ll notice an old train station on the right . Also , take time to stop and check out the cascading waterfalls on the left just past the height of land . You ’ ll also notice the train bridge cut into the mountain cliffs to your

right .
These next 20 miles or so are simply beautiful , and the swaying road makes you glad you came to experience this . Soon you enter Bartlett , which is known for its black bear population . Don ’ t worry ; they only eat folks from out of state . Continuing on Rt . 302 east , you ’ ll enter the town of North Conway , where you will find plenty of hotels , restaurants , gas stations , and even a DQ . Finally , you may want to stop in at the old historic train station . This is where you can take a ride on the train if you wish .
The next town you enter will be Center Conway , and soon you need to look for Rt . 112 , but we all call it the Kanc , short for Kancamagus Highway . Heading West on the Kanc , you are on the last 30 miles of this 98 mile , fantastic riding day . Be sure to check your fuel because there are no fuel stops on this “ Scenic By- Way ” road . This end of the ride is the highlight of the day . Once again ,

Before you know it , you ’ re back in Lincoln , where you started . There you can enjoy a good night ’ s rest along with some great dining .
