50TH ANNIVERSARY

OUR

story in CMA began two years before we joined. Lynn’ s grandma passed away in 2002, and her cousin’ s husband purchased a new Harley Davidson anniversary edition and wanted to go on a dinner ride while we were in town for the funeral. Since we didn’ t have a motorcycle, he let us borrow his old bike that he had not sold yet. Well, that hooked us, and I bought a motorcycle three weeks later, but Lynn didn’ t get her own until 2004.
We learned about CMA from Lynn’ s family. They told us what a great ministry it was, and we even went to an event with them in Oklahoma City and then another
time with their chapter for an overnight ride to Rogers, Arkansas. We read the handbook before we joined and asked a lot of questions. We completed the ministry training cassette tapes and joined a chapter in 2004 but didn’ t get involved until 2005 when we changed to a different one. We attended our first Changing of the Colors Rally in 2006 and have attended the yearly rally since. In this ministry, we have learned so much about how serving the Lord means getting out where people need Jesus and sharing Christ with them. We have learned to be better riders traveling many miles with all skill levels who have
taught us that the best stories come from times when things went wrong.
We never dreamed of the path God had planned for us twenty years ago. With each step, from holding a chapter office to state area reps, then state coordinators, and now serving as part of the National Evangelist team for the South Central Region, God has taught us to listen to His calling and just be obedient to do our best to follow Him. We are thankful to be here and truly enjoy serving beside so many great servants in this amazing ministry who faithfully teach us to trust God for all things. CMA
