LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
NEW CHAPTER
On February 4 , 2023 , the Armour of God Chapter became officially a chartered chapter of CMA in the Tri-State region ( DE / MD / NJ ). It is my understanding that in prior years there had been a chapter or so dissolve or cease to exist for various reasons but none to charter , making this quite a welcome and exciting event .
This , our first anniversary , is special in many ways for the chapter as it seemed questionable at one point as to whether it would even be in existence . The original core of officers and members , all Marylanders , were once members of Northern Virginia Christian Riders but saw a need and an opportunity for CMA to make an impact in the Prince Georges County area and the District of Columbia . Finding meeting places , events to attend , and support for CMA outreach seemed daunting in the early months of being a startup chapter but the burden to serve God in the area was greater than any of the obstacles that presented themselves . Through prayer and perseverance doors were opened , opportunities began to unfold , and slowly but surely the things necessary for becoming a fully chartered chapter began to fall into place .
Now that that day has come , we have a year of breaking ground , establishing a presence through building relationships in the community , and a vision for meeting the needs of the people through service ,
prayer , and presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ . Not only is our membership becoming more stable but so is our commitment to evangelize this territory that we feel God has given us to possess .
We thank you for your prayers , support , and being a body of believers committed to changing lives one heart at a time !
