HAVE you ever asked yourself , “ What does God want from me ?” We sometimes make it as big as the question , “ What is the meaning of life ?” It ’ s not that complicated ; it ’ s really straightforward .
I believe we were created to have a personal relationship with God and to share that relationship with others .
Genesis 3:8-9 ( NLT ) “ When the cool evening breezes were blowing , the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden . So , they hid from the
LORD God among the trees . Then the LORD God called to the man , ‘ Where are you ?’”
I believe this shows that until Adam and Eve sinned , they had a personal walk with God , and He would walk with them in the garden . Can you imagine that kind of relationship ?
When Adam and Eve sinned , they no longer had that relationship . Man and God became separated . When Jesus died and rose again , we were reconciled with God and can have that relationship again . It is not just a relationship with Him ; it is now a commission to tell others about Him .
Matthew 28:18-20 ( NLT ) “ Jesus came and told his disciples , ‘ I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth . Therefore , go and make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son

and the Holy Spirit . Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you . And be sure of this : I am with you always , even to the end of the age .’”
Many of us have shared this scripture as a rallying cry for all Christians . To go and tell others what Jesus has done , but how ? We tell others about Jesus through evangelism , but do we overcomplicate it ? I believe we all know what God is asking us to do , but many times hesitate because we are so worried we will mess it up .
We just completed our Seasons of Refreshing where we talked about evangelism the CMA way . We covered three main points of Evangelism . 1 . Presence Evangelism 2 . Servant Evangelism 3 . Tools of Evangelism This all points to us going and sharing our stories with others . So , what is it that God wants from us ? It ’ s that we have a personal relationship with Him and share it with others .
The way we do it is simple . We show up , we serve others , and we tell our story . We do it by displaying the fruits of the Spirit . ( Love , joy , peace , longsuffering , gentleness , goodness , faith , meekness , and temperance ).
Philippians 1:27 ( NIV ) Life Worthy of the Gospel “ Whatever happens , conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ . Then , whether I come and see you or only hear

about you in my absence , I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit , striving together as one for the faith of the gospel .”
We are to live our lives in a way that reflects the love of Jesus and in readiness to share the hope we have in Him .
