ROGER

and Rayleen
Wilson have been around CMA for nearly forty years and have served the Lord in every position imaginable, from members at rallies to chapter officer positions, Area Reps, Lay Evangelist, and North Central Region National Evangelist from 2000 to 2020, and upon retirement, they were appointed to the Board of Directors. The term " retirement " is definitely a misnomer, as Roger now serves as CMA Facilities Maintenance Manager, overseeing new project construction, general repairs, and the upkeep of all CMA properties and buildings at the National / International Support Center campuses, and Iron Mountain.
He brings a lifetime of experience to the position: Senior Electrical Engineer at IBM, a certified electrician, and, over the years, on-the-job training from various other trades, including plumbing, construction, and HVAC. His responsibilities are vast, covering all upkeep, repair, and maintenance for every building and vehicle owned by CMA. Think of your home repairs multiplied by at least ten. With over a dozen buildings, not counting cabins
, bath houses, or utility sheds, the maintenance crew has several hundred potentially leaky faucets, faulty toilets, or nonfunctioning lights to attend to daily.
The scope of the work is mindnumbing, between the Training Center, warehouse, administration office, multi-purpose building, East / West campgrounds, and the magnificent Iron Mountain facilities God has blessed us with. It is now up to us, the members( leave it cleaner than you found it), and the Maintenance Team, to be good stewards of His great blessing. Roger’ s goal is to continue making the Support Center and campgrounds the best they can be and to do what needs to be done every single day, so you, the members of CMA, can be proud of the facility and enjoy being here.
As CMA continues to pursue good stewardship of available funds, most of the routine vehicle maintenance is now being done in-house. That is where Corey Graf serves faithfully as Maintenance Technician. He is responsible for all rolling stock, including road vehicles, trailers, tractors, and lawn equipmentβ€” while also keeping detailed maintenance records and stocking
necessary supplies.
As Lead Facilities / Maintenance Technician, Dave Chesling serves as Roger’ s right-hand man, faithfully handling any maintenance task that comes his way. He came to Iron Mountain after a 39-year career as a certified production welder, an invaluable and often needed skill on Iron Mountain. As Roger and his dedicated group of volunteers concentrate on new projects and upgrades, Dave is busy putting out fires, assisting in projects, and fixing whatever breaks.
Roger’ s crew is knee deep in new projects aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing energy costs, such as the remodel of the Goodies Store with new ceiling and mini-splits for more efficient heating and air, overhead UFO( high bay LED) lights in the pavilion that are brighter and more efficient, and eventually overhaul of the warehouse space with UFO lights, mini-splits, and compartmentalized work areas to reduce the need for constant high energy usage. Also, on the schedule is needed IM roadwork, and the constant day-to-day needs of the facilities.
With all this work to be done,
Roger is just one story of the impact donations to the general fund make in supporting the National / International Support Center. General donations and the sale of Goodies fund the operations and maintenance at CMA National, as well as provide for the maintenance and upkeep of our Iron Mountain facilities.
Above all, we want to thank you for your continued faithfulness to the ministry of CMA. Through your generosity, we are able to support evangelistic outreach to the motorcycling community worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
