LOOKING

for some fun and exciting riding? The Indiana Super State Rally is coming to Madison, Indiana, from August 27-30, 2026. Madison sits along the Ohio River and was established in 1809. Itโ€™ s a historic city with several National Historic Landmarks. Madison was home to Indianaโ€™ s first railroad, served as a major transportation and steamboat port, and is the largest city on the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Louisville. The city also hosts the Indiana Governorโ€™ s Cup. The Madison Regatta, an annual hydroplane racing event, has been held here for 75 years and is home to the Miss Madison hydroplane boat.
Madison is just 50 miles from the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, both offering scenic rides to get there. During the rally, you can enjoy music and activities at the riverfront park, plus great shopping and dining on Main Street in the historic downtown.
If youโ€™ re up for a twisty country ride, check outโ€œ The Serpent of 62.โ€ This route takes you through small towns like Friendship and Rising Sun, Indiana, and follows the Ohio River. With 1,000 curves in 100 miles, it starts at Main Street and Hwy 421 in downtown Madison and ends at Main and Hwy 56 by the Milton-Madison Bridge, bringing you back to Madison.
Start your ride by heading north
on Hwy 421, then take Hwy 62 East through sweeping country curves. As you approach Friendship, youโ€™ ll find tighter curves and shaded roads. After passing through Friendship, the route climbs steep, twisty roadsโ€” be careful here, as the road is narrow with little beyond the guardrail. About halfway, youโ€™ ll reach Rising Sun, a small town on the Ohio River with shops and plenty of places to eat, like Tequilaโ€™ s Mexican and Jake ' s Place, plus several pubs. If you need gas, turn left at the first fourway stop onto High Street or 56 East. After about half a mile, youโ€™ ll see Shell and Marathon stations.
After your break, youโ€™ ll have 50 miles left. Head west on Hwy
