FREEDOM SHIELDS you taller than average ,
ARE or does your motorcycle windshield cause wind buffeting ? Being 6 ’ 4 ”, I ’ ve never had a bike with a windshield that doesn ’ t cause wind buffeting . So , I ’ m going to review Freedom Shield ’ s windshield . My Indian Roadmaster Limited has an electrically adjustable windshield which is awesome . However , the factory shield in the highest position was still almost 4 ” below my eyes and wasn ’ t giving me any protection except for maybe off the chest . I ended up ordering a Freedom Shields 18 ” light grey tint , with a nice mellow recurve at the top . I believe that makes it about 4 ” taller than stock height . When it arrived , my first impression was that it came in fast and was packaged well . It fit perfectly , and the light tint was a good way to go . It wasn ’ t too dark to affect night riding , but dark enough to look a little better and reduce sun glare . It looked nicer than factory , and in the highest position would

be above the eyes so that I looked through it instead of over it . And in the lowest position was way below my eyes so that I could easily look over it in case I was riding in fog , which is impossible to look through .
As soon as I hit the road , I loved it . It cut out wind buffeting at all speeds . I have had it on the bike for over 9,000 miles , and the tint stays the same . It is wearing well with no real scratches . It has not cracked or discolored in any way . As far as brands of windshields are concerned , I have tried over 20 shields through the years , and this is by far the best as far as fit and finish , price , and it has the perfect amount of curve to the top . The price on mine came in at just over $ 200 , including freight . It doesn ’ t cause a distorted view when you look through the curve and doesn ’ t tend to pull your head forward like other more aggressive recurve shields .
I liked my Freedom Shield so much that I bought my wife Terri a 17 ” Freedom Shield in light grey tint
