ONE morning in April , as I sat by the beach relaxing and preparing for the day ' s activities , I reflected on this year ' s theme from Seasons of Refreshing and the words written on my cup . We often get caught up doing our day-to-day tasks , whether good or bad . But how often do we intentionally take time to measure or take inventory of what we have done or who we are bringing with us ? While watching people walk by on the beach , I noticed that if no one was with them or following in their steps , their footprints were quickly washed away .
Much like in our lives , if we aren ' t taking the time to make an impression on the next generation and bring them with us , the waves of life will quickly erase the impact we have in this world . Don ' t be discouraged , thinking you haven ' t left a mark . Many times , we don ' t get to see the impact we have .
Whether leaving a nice tip for a waitress , praying with a biker , handing out a CMA coin , or inviting them to the local chapter meeting , the eternal impact of these little gestures may take years to mature and bear fruit . For example , Noah spent over 100 years building the ark before it rained . It started one board
at a time , and with consistency , his accomplishment is still discussed today . So take inventory of what God has gifted you with , even if it is just a smiling face and a cheerful heart , and begin to leave your mark today ! CMAs
