2025 marks 50 years of the Christian Motorcyclists Association sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the motorcyclists of our world . At this important marker in CMA ' s history , our intention is to thank God for all of His guidance , faithful provision , and sustaining power we have experienced throughout the years .

Luke 14 : 23 , we find a scripture that expresses so well the ministry of CMA , the heartbeat of CMA when it says , “ Then the master said to the servant , ‘ go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in ” ( Luke 14:23 , NKJV ). Matthew 9:36-38 ( NKJV ) we read , “ But when he saw the multitudes , he was moved with compassion for them , because they were weary and scattered , like sheep having no shepherd . Then He said to His disciples , ‘ the harvest truly is plentiful , but the laborers are few . Therefore , pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest .’” Let us say here , when He saw them , when He saw the multitude , He was moved with compassion . In each edition of the 2025 CMA HeartBeat , we will celebrate all God has done with special 50th Anniversary features . These special additions to our magazine will share the history of CMA while focusing on CMA ' s particular style of evangelism and its development . We will also hear the stories of long-time members , how they experienced the growth of CMA , and its impact on their testimonies . Plus , pictures from the photo archive tell the story of how Jesus birthed and sustained this ministry up to this present moment .

To know where CMA is coming from and where we are going , let me take you back to March the 13th , 1952 , in a little college dorm in Northeast Arkansas . On that day , I answered the call . It was a Wednesday evening . I ’ d been feeling God ' s call upon my life for some time , and that evening in that dorm room , I responded to God and said , yes , God , I ' ll preach the Word . That was my call to preach ; it was not a call to be a pastor . My call was not for that as a teacher . My call to preach was a call to a commitment to see

that people in the highways and hedges heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ ; not just to be a preacher , but to be God ' s preacher .
I felt a call to reach out to those in the highways and hedges , those that were seldom seen by many who sat in the pew or stood behind the pulpit . My life had come into contact with a man that evening who left a well-positioned family and home to reach the people in the highways and hedges of life . His name was Jesus , and I really wanted to be His kind of preacher . And also , about that time , I met a young lady , a little Jewish lady from up in East . She touched my life . She
