More than motorcycling love motorcycles . Bikes of
WE all kinds of shapes and sizes , makes and models . And we love where they take us . We enjoy the adventure of being on the open road . Each of us could explain in great detail the feelings and emotions we experience when we are on our favorite bike exploring a brand new road or trail . For most of us , the love for motorcycling goes deep into who we are . We are bikers , and for us , it ’ s much more than a hobby .
You might say we belong to a particular group of people . Within our nation , we are an identifiable tribe of folks who love motorcycles and motorcycling culture . Not only are bikers our “ people ,” we are bikers ourselves . We see things and understand things non-bikers don ’ t . We communicate in a language those outside our tribe just don ’ t get .
For many of us , this is one of the many reasons our fellowship within CMA is so sweet . We are a family of like-minded folk who share a lot of the same interests and passions . In around 900 geographic family outposts we call chapters , we gather , ride together , and generally enjoy doing what we love . But while motorcycling and riding may be one of the most unifying things about us , it ’ s important to remember CMA is about more than motorcycling .
CMA is more than motorcycling because at its heart , CMA is serving a greater purpose . It ' s more than motorcycling because the God of creation , has through Christ , shown His love to a sin damaged humanity , and He ’ s commissioned CMA to share that love . Sure , in CMA we pursue our love of riding and motorcycles , but those pursuits alone do not set us apart from any other club or ride group . CMA is much more than simply a group to enjoy motorcycling with or social gatherings to help us make friends . These things certainly take place within CMA , but CMA goes further in that we are a ministry ; a ministry in service to a God given specific mission .
The mission of evangelism
Evangelism is the heartbeat of God . It is the reason CMA exists . Our vision , changing the world , one heart at a time , is reflective of Jesus ’ mission “ to seek and to save that which was lost ” ( Luke 19:10b , KJV ). The word evangelism simply means sharing the Good News . Sharing the Good News was Jesus ’ job while He was on earth and it ’ s ours to carry on . As followers of Jesus and members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association , we believe Christ Himself has asked us to live a lifestyle of Good News , spreading constantly , touching those around us with the truth of His Gospel .
Here are a few Scriptural instructions that serve as the basis for our mission of evangelism . “‘ Therefore , go and make disciples of all the nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit .
