Recommended Rides
Natural Dam, and Cedarville
before merging onto I-40 West.
Sit back, relax and set the
cruise as you cover the 28 miles to
Sallisaw, OK in a more relaxed
state. Take Exit 308 for US-59
South and go about 2.8 miles then
left at the unmarked intersection
that will put you on the old high-
way and lead to Wild Horse Bar-B-
Que on the hillside to your left.
You have earned it! The building is
pretty rustic (it hasn’t changed in
the 25 years I have frequented the
place) sits on the side of the hill
and the drive is pretty rough, but
it is worth the bother.
Follow your nose due south on
US-59 and you will come to Acorn
and 71 South in about 80 miles or
so. Now you are only 18 miles
from Iron Mountain. What a day
we have had; the beautiful Boston
Mountains, two Highway 59s; one
State and one Federal and some
really great barbeque. What more
could a biker ask for? CMA

As you leave Tom’s and go back
to AR-112 you can take a left at
the stop sign and go around that
sharp curve and in 5 miles be up
at US-412 West. Take a left and
proceed west 18 miles towards
Siloam Springs. Here you will pick
up the other 59 in our trip. US-59
South winds its way about 58
miles through picturesque little
communities such as Cincinnati,
Summers, Low Gap Hollow,
